Dalesgate Hotel - Self Check In

Hotel was easy to find from the main road and check in was simple and effective with a keypad on the doors. Communication by the hotel prior to arrival was excellent and we were provided with various contact details should there be a problem. The rooms were a good size, with tea/coffee provided. Bed was very comfortable and we had a good night sleep. Perfect location for our trip as we were attending a wedding at nearby riddlesden hall. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Lots of choice for a cold breakfast, cereal, croissant, fruit etc. A hot breakfast was cooked to order if wanted. It was really tasty and set us up for the day ahead. A pleasent stay here, thank you 🙂

The property was a great little find for a 2 night stay in the area. It was well located to get to nearby Ilkley and Skipton and had a number of nice sites near it such as Cliffe Castle and the surrounding park. The breakfast was very good and very generous in size. This was the only time we saw the staff and owner both of whom were very kind and friendly. The room was spacious and the beds comfy (although a little too soft for my liking but that’s just personal preference). The bathroom was also nice and had a bath which was a bonus.

The Dalesgate Hotel has a self- check in/key code entry system, which means that there are no staff about during the day. However, they are always contactable if required and it was good not to have to carry keys around. The staff who were on duty at breakfast were excellent - so pleasant and friendly. There was a good selection of breakfast options and the hot breakfasts were freshly and excellently cooked and very generous. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. It was serviced and we were given fresh towels every day. The hotel is very good value for money and we would certainly book there again.

This is such an efficient way to run a small hotel. Check in was a breeze, the place was easy to find (an easy 30 minute walk from the railway station, but if arriving by car, there is a roomy car park at the rear). The room was spotless, warm and comfortable and the breakfast offering was the best I have seen outside major hotels. Top marks for having porridge and kippers as options. I will recommend Dalesgate to any friends visiting the K&WV Railway. Thank you for your Yorkshire hospitality

Spacious room with all the facilities I needed, clean fresh appearance. Excellent choice for breakfast and friendly, cheerful service. Comfortable night's sleep. Competitive price. I would definitely book again.

The rooms were clean, tidy and very comfortable, the staff were happy, friendly and nothing was to much, the breakfast was pipping hot and a lot of choice to be had, and very delicious, plenty of fresh juices, tea and coffee, the parking was easy to find and plenty of room for parking as well round the back of the building, and some on street parking as well out the front of the property. 10 stars all round and are hoping to plan another visit next year.

Easy self check-in and a decent-sized room. Plenty of off-road parking, and the hotel was easy to find as well as being handy for days out in the Dales. The room was fairly dated and well-worn, but clean enough, and everything was functional and as expected for the price.

My room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. There was plenty of parking space behind the hotel. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was excellent. The lady serving breakfasts was friendly and helpful. I was able to get a good evening meal at the Roebuck pub, just a few doors up the street.

Easy self check in with keypad entry to the main doors and your room, easy to find and only a 1 mile walk to town centre. 25 min walk or a few minute drive. We were staying the night before the Tough mudder and needed to leave at 7.30. We booked for breakfast included but we wasn't aware that breakfast is served from 8am on weekends. Using the what's app chat link provided in the welcome email pack We messaged customer services to ask if anything could be provided for our earlier departure. The response was quick and they kindly offered to open the breakfast area 1 hour earlier so we could eat before we left. The breakfast was well stocked with lots of options and the staff came out to take a hot food order. Thanks for the kind offer.
